So I know I just got the MX5, but I am probably going to be coming into some extra money soon... but not for a few more months.... and so I looked on autotrader... and what do I find a good deal on an RX8 or so it looks... who knows... I guess it is possible that its too-good-to-be-true... but still...

It seems too good to be true, Too bad you don't have money now, or else I'd say call for sure. It looks as though it is worth at least double what is being asked.

yeah that is kind of what I am thinking. The only thing I can think is it must have title issues and be rigged to pretend to run until you get it home and then break down the next morning or something.
That is a beautiful deal... If it was true, and I did have the money now... oh gosh... I might just have to give my Miata to my Mom lol

it was a black 2004 RX8 for like 8 or 9 grand... and looking at the pictures it was in really good shape... had some red trim bits in the interior that looked kinda slick and not overdone. I am guessing, since it is already gone that it must have sold quickly which is probably what the seller was going for, so maybe it wasnt too good to be true afterall! I would have liked to have had that car

It's possible the clutch was torn to hell. I had a friend that was looking at one at one point that had a good deal on it, and he had someone look at it and it was hosed. Who knows. Some folks drive em pretty hard and then want to dump em off, especially if they didnt know jack about Rotaries to begin with, then tore it up.

Then again it could have been a deal like my car where it's in great condition but has a screwed up title...
either way its someone elses car now so I guess no use crying over dissapeared Rx8s
