i'll post up my ongoning build
i started with a near stock 89 t2
my car, stock exterior, rx8 rims.

my other rims, currently for sale oem r32 skyline GTR

The damage. blown apex seal in my rear rotor, took out the housing and rotor

the tear down

the flywheel nut was the hardest part of the whole prodject.
this picture gives you an idea of the badass that stood in my way for a whole day!

i were a size 6.5 mens. this gives you a good idea on how small the engine really is

cleaning an iron with a broken side seal

front cover cleaned

turbo before

turbo after

reassembling everythinf
since the stock rear rotor and houseing couldn't be used i had to source a new one.
j.r. did an amazing job rebuilding my engine, i basically just learned and did bitch work while he taught me everything.
it really was a treat to see him in action. if you ever find your self on SCR speak with him on the chat box, he is a wealth of information
here is the rebuild as it happened

since the stock rotors were trash, time to upgrade. we used an s4/na rotating assembly, raising the compression ratio from 9:1 to 9.4:1

new apex seals

doing the corner seals were a bitch

notice the amount of vasoline used on the rotor face. thats to keep all the seals and springs in place during reassembly

after the install, i was told that it might not want to start right away.
turn the key, 2 clicks, its purring like a kitten.
that was 2500 miles ago. it pulls hard now. i just got my safc. time to get a better tune and do some quarter mile runs!
