Formula DRIFT Slides into Sin City

The world famous Las Vegas Motor Speedway plays host to Formula DRIFT. The “Diamond in the Desert” is just outside the Vegas Strip and has previously hosted events such as NASCAR, IndyCar, and more recently Formula DRIFT.

The custom built course is one of the fastest, if not the fastest, drifting circuits in the world. With a very high-speed triple entry, drivers are pushed to put their fears behind them and risk it all when entering the first turn. Fans will not be disappointed with each grand stand seat having a great view of all the action.

The 2-day event will also feature the FD Pro Am competition in association with Vegas Drift. Fans will witness the best amateur and professional drivers in the country battle it out all weekend long.

2:00 PM - 9:00 PM - Will Call (Venue)
2:30 PM -3:00 PM - Pro AM: Driver‘ Meeting (Driver's Area)
4:00 PM - 1:00 AM - GATES OPEN TO THE PUBLIC (Venue)
3:00 PM - 4:00 PM - Pro AM: Open Practice (Track)
4:00 PM - 6:00 PM - Pro AM: Qualifying (Track)
4:30 PM - 5:00 PM - MEDIA: Mandatory Meeting for All PHOTO Credentials (Media Area)
5:30 PM - 6:00 PM - FD: Drivers‘ Meeting (Driver's Area)
6:00 PM - 7:00 PM - Driver Autograph Session (Paddock)
7:00 PM - 7:30 PM - Pro AM: Drivers‘ Meeting (Driver's Area)
7:00 PM - 8:00 PM - FD: OPEN PRACTICE: Session #1 (Track)
8:00 PM - 9:00 PM - FD: OPEN PRACTICE: Session #2 (Track)
9:00 PM - 11:30 PM - FD: QUALIFYING All Drivers, reverse ranking (Track)
11:45 PM - 12:00 AM - FD: Drivers‘ Meeting / Qualifying Results (Driver's Area)
12:00 AM - 1:00 AM - FD: OPEN PRACTICE: Top 32 (Track)

Saturday August 21, 2010 (No Video Permitted w/o Approval)

I will start going to those when they realize we are in the desert and make Las Vegas the first stop....before the heat is a bitch.
