short on low beam headlight

so I believe i have a short on my low beam headlight, i have replaced my hid ballast for the 3rd time but the last time i installed everything turned the lights on and it worked but then i turned them off and back on and the light didnt came back on...so I check the ballast with the other side and the ballast is bad, so it burned it or did something to it, then i tried using a regular H1 bulb and the same thing happened turned on once and that was it, the lightbulb doesnt seem to be burned i believe it might have killed the fuse, anybody have any experience troubleshooting this?

So you only checked the ballast? Have you tried checking your... Fuses? Battery? Alternator? Bulbs maybe?

I don't know much about electrical issues but if I were you that's where I would start.
