Wow! Who knew Vegas people were such cheapskates! lol
The hotel rooms are only $10 to $15 more than last year. Remember, the rates last year didn't include the taxes and stuff. Free breakfast? Who had that? There was supposed to be a buy one get on free dinner on Friday, but it was over before most of us got there. Breakfast on Sunday is at Big Boys.
If I had more people RSVP earlier on like they were supposed to, I might have been able to get a better rate on the rooms. But, no one jumped in until the threads were up for weeks, so I had to go with what I had. That said, feel free to stay wherever you like. Hotel rooms in Laughlin are going for about $115 a night that Friday and $165 a night in Lake Havasu on Saturday.
Be sure to check the AZMC thread for more info as it is added.
We have bowling on Friday night and go-carting on Saturday.

lol... classically, we aren't cheapskates... just good deal-hunters.... tho, in the past 12 months, southern nevada has gone thru rather high inflation, in addition to having the highest rate of foreclosures in the country 3 quarters running, and now also the highest unemployment rate... you've got to forgive us for being smart enough to become thrifty so quickly, since our economy is spiraling downwards at an alarming rate. Should give us props for reacting better than other areas. Seems to me, the hotels should be offering lower or similar rates, since the recent gas prices in our home city has limited our overall traveling... so if the economy and fuel costs stop us traveling... RAISING their hotel's rates will be the straw that breaks our camel's backs... specially since a lot of those hotels/motels used to cater a lot to SoNev natives. Also... free continental breakfast at a hotel/motel is not something you use to lure a Vegas citizen... or anyone who has stayed at a hotel/motel ANYWHERE. I'd rather have a kick in the nuts than a "free continental breakfast"... And I'm sure you can guess how quickly I'd line up for a kick in the nuts for "only $10-$15 more per day!".

I'm definately going...... But I've got a question ... On Sunday I've got work at130pm . What the itinerary for that day. How far is the drive back home and what time are we planin to head out? Just wondering because it hard to give away my shift being its a Sunday.

if you need to leave early for sunday, i'll drive back home with you. i plan on taking the miata since the weather will most likely be cool.
