So we all know that the MS3 hood is rather heavy - about 60 pounds, I think - so obviously the hydrolic props have to be pretty strong, right?? If I put them on my CF hood, are they going to be TOO strong or break anything by applying too much pressure in the wrong place or should they still be fine for a 12 pound CF hood? I was looking at the ones on Dabears2k.com just so you know which ones I am talking about.

DaBears is a horrible vendor......but besides that rant, I think they will be way to strong. I have the hood struts on my hood and it can shoot the hood up pretty fast. And with the lighter CF, I would not install them.

Yeah just be careful when u close the hood when the props are installed, one of my friends ended up cracking his cf hood on his p5 when he tried to close his hood and pushed too hard

Ah, thanks for the input. To be honest, after the way DaBears narced on GripGarage over on MOCC, Im not a big fan.
Know of any other hoodprops that would work better? BESIDES the stock stick prop? LoL

I would check with MazdaPartPlaza or something like that on the big boards. I know I got mine through my connection with mazda3mods, but I believe he was just selling them through Mazda Parts Plazda.

I used engine bright before.....just make sure all electronics are covered...I used tin foil.
