<~~~~ Traded in my RX8 last night for a 2010 MS3

Nice but why did you trade in for Speed3? More power? Congrats on the trade!

Couple reasons:

RX8's don't put their power down well, something that is advertised at 238hp, and dyno's at 176hp is no bueno. It ate gas- I always said- "Eats gas like a V8 and puts power down like a 4 cyl." Also, any time you want to modify your 8, it fights you. Every little thing you do, becomes a huge event that could easily end in catastrophe. The only thing that car had going for it, was that it looked and sounded cool. RX8's are completely outcasted by the Mazda dealers here in Vegas, so to get any warranty work you must either go out of town or pull a miracle out of your tush. My RX8 was on the threshold of needing an engine rebuild in addition to the transmission needing a second rebuild.

I wanted a car that would be practical in the future (for a family) but still have some balls. The MS3 fit the bill. It even has hookups for car seats! I don't have kids yet, but I will sometime in the next couple years; so I'd rather have a car all payed off before I have 'em. Also, with my knowledge of Courtesy's shady practices, I can start fresh and keep every little record of work on this car including the oil changes. ALSO, lol, It's nice to have something brand new with a warranty.

The end of my 8. lol.  violin pity
